FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: What are illuminated switches? An illuminated light switch lights up from the row of LEDs on the bottom edge of the light switch when the load is turned OFF, serving as a good nightlight for anyone or making it easy to locate in a dark room.
How does it work? The LED illuminated wall switch has an internal circuit that provides just enough electricity to power the LED nightlights (lighting loads without ghosting or flickering), and this circuit becomes active only when the switch is off.
What is ghosting? Ghosting is when lighting loads can faintly glow even when the light switch is off. This is caused by electricity to power the LED nightlights and is a common problem seen with illuminated switches.
How to eliminate ghosting? Please use lighting loads greater than 9 watts.
Does it have a direction? No! The LED light bar is on the top and bottom sides of the illuminated switch.
Does it need a neutral? No! The LED illuminated switch does not require a neutral to work.
Does it need to be grounded? No! But we recommend a ground wire on the light switch.
Can the LED automatically turn ON-OFF? Yes! There is a small dot on the switch itself behind which there is a dusk-to-dawn sensor, allowing it to know when to turn the LEDs on and off automatically.
Does it have a motion sensor? No! There is no motion sensor.

What is the color of the LED? Warm white (3000K) and Daylight white (6000K).
Which loads are compatible? The illuminated switches are designed for all types of bulbs and fixtures, including LED, CFL, Incandescent, etc.
Does it include wall plates? No! Excluding wall plates.
